According to the shipyard and the German representatives, the new 37 will be built on a completely new hull. The interior is also to be extensively modernised. Outside, there are plans to add some more contemporary details without losing the typical style and unmistakable charm of a Targa. Many elements are likely to be taken from the larger models Targa 41 and 46 are adopted.
What has always characterised the Targa 37 is its outstanding seaworthiness, for which the Finnish shipyard is renowned, as well as its versatility when it comes to fitting out. Even the transom can be chosen between straight or negative as required. The layout can also be flexibly customised - a plus point for owners who prefer individual solutions.
Further technical data is not yet known. However, it is certain that the new Targa 37 will go on sale from autumn 2026.
With the Targa 37, Finnish manufacturer Botnia Marin has set a firm benchmark in the all-weather motorboat segment for years. Hardly any other boat of this size combines consistent seaworthiness, suitability for everyday use and travelling comfort as convincingly as the 37-foot yacht.
Originally developed for the rough conditions of northern waters, the 37 is not a classic weekender, but a true offshore yacht. The hull geometry and weight are designed for calm, controlled sailing behaviour. Even in waves and headwinds. It is precisely this predictability that has earned the series the reputation of being "the 4×4 vehicle among motorboats".
The centrepiece of the concept is the enclosed pilothouse with all-round visibility. It enables comfortable and safe sailing in almost any weather and makes the Targa 37 an all-season boat. At the same time, access to the deck and cockpit remains easy and safe at all times. Wide side decks, all-round handrails and several doors are part of the typical Targa layout.
Below deck, the 37 is a fully-fledged cruising yacht. Several cabins, a functional galley, wet rooms and generous stowage facilities allow for longer cruises without sacrificing comfort. Large window areas provide plenty of daylight and avoid the "cave character" often found on pilothouse boats.
Powered by powerful Volvo Penta diesel engines, the Finn achieves brisk cruising speeds of around 30 knots without losing sight of efficiency and range. As a result, she moves confidently between displacement and sports cruiser - fast enough for long journeys, robust enough for demanding areas.
The special position of the Targa 37 is ultimately explained by the consistency of its concept: it is not a boat for fair-weather boaters, but a yacht for owners who want to be out and about when others stay in harbour. This is precisely what has made it a reference model in the all-weather segment for years.
