If you believe the brochures and dealer statements, Azimut's 55 Fly is said to have the largest flybridge in its class. Even without pulling out the measuring tape, we can't help but get the same impression. We particularly notice the fixed bimini, which the shipyard calls a hardtop, with a large sliding roof.
The large saloon side windows, in which you can see yourself reflected from the outside, also catch the eye. They are designed to block UV rays and protect the interior from heating up.
In the saloon, it is noticeable that the galley is located at the entrance. Where in older models the sideboard opposite the current galley functioned as a bar or TV cabinet, two large electrical panels with switches and fuses are now housed under the hinged shelf.
This makes sense and serves safety. In the front area of the saloon, one step higher, you can sit on comfortable seats and enjoy the almost uninterrupted panoramic view, which the skipper and his co-pilot also have at the helm.
In the living area, three cabins offer a total of six berths. Two bathrooms, one for the owner and one for the guests, fulfil every requirement. If you also order the optional crew cabin, you get one more berth and one more bathroom. If you don't need it, you get a large storage space instead.
