Echo Yachts launched "White Rabbit" in Henderson, Western Australia, by Syncrolift. The 84-metre trimaran is the largest aluminium yacht and the largest trimaran in the world.

The 19.60 metre wide three-hull vessel, which is called "White Rabbit Golf" in full and WRG for short, relies on a diesel-electric drive from Rolls Royce/Kongsberg and a power converter from STADT with a rated output of 5000 kWe. The hulls were designed by One2Three Naval Architects, an Australian firm specialising in multihulls. The owner engaged Sam Sorgiovanni for the exterior and interior styling. The Australian said of the launch of the almost 3000 gross tonne displacement vessel: "It filled me with pride. Not so much because it took a long time to build, but because of the history of the project and the fact that my career started here." Sorgiovanni continues: "The hull form developed by One2Three has many advantages over a conventional one. Once the superyacht industry understands this, I am sure that efficient lines will prevail in times of fuel economy and green conscience." After sea trials off the coast of Western Australia, the Singaporean owner family is due to take delivery of "White Rabbit" at the end of October.
