The shipyard on the south bank of the Elbe is part of the Russian Pella shipyard group with headquarters in St. Petersburg. 3D laser welding technology, which Abeking & Rasmussen developed together with the Berlin-based company Photon, is being used for the first time to process the outer steel plates. The process should result in a smoother surface that requires less post-treatment. At 118 metres in length, "Project 6507" exceeds the largest A&R building to date, "Aviva", by almost 20 metres. The Parisian firm Joseph Dirand Architecture designed both the exterior and the interior. Outstanding features include a Nemo Lounge, an XXL pool and a large arsenal of tenders and toys as well as a diving boat.
