The 60 metre long ex-project "Falcon" left Rotterdam to welcome her owners on board. Prior to this, the steel-aluminium format completed sea trials worthy of the name. Captain Varun, who was previously in command of the 47-metre Heesen "Asya", commented: "'Lusine' is robust and gives me great confidence. We've tested her in a decent sea state with winds of up to 30 knots and she's behaved very well." On the North Sea, Varun was able to convince himself of the contractually agreed maximum speed of 17.5 knots. At 13 knots and full bunkers, the two MTUs (12V4000 M65L) will take the FDHF hull up to 4,200 nautical miles.
The Omega Architects team led by Frank Laupman connected the main deck, bridge and sun deck with a stylised "bird's wing". Discreet boarding by helicopter is possible for the owner and his family via the pad on the top deck, which is adjoined by an air-conditioned reception area. The glass lift takes you to the lower deck, where the master suite is located on the aft bridge deck. Consistently separate walkways for crew and guests create the best working conditions and privacy. According to Heesen, Sinot's interior specifications provided the interior fitters with one of the most elaborate and sophisticated designs in the shipyard's history.
"Lusine" is the first yacht that Heesen delivered in 2022. The 60-metre custom build will be followed over the course of the year by custom and semi-custom yachts with a total volume of no less than 3458 gross tonnes.
