Princess Yachts is recognised as the UK's largest manufacturer of luxury yachts. This year, the shipyard is celebrating its 60th anniversary. To mark the anniversary, there is a special edition of the V40 - and a film series.

The company had humble beginnings in 1965, when it was founded by three friends in a small shed in Plymouth, UK. The pioneers of that time laid the foundations for what has now developed into an internationally recognised brand. Over the past 60 years, Princess has built powerful, comfortable and stylish yachts.

"Reaching our 60th anniversary is a significant achievement that fills us with great pride," said Will Green, CEO of Princess Yachts. "It demonstrates the commitment of our talented team and the loyalty of our customers. It's not just about reflecting our craftsmanship and innovation, but also about looking ahead to the next 60 years and ensuring we continue to deliver Princess luxury products."

New edition of the Princess V40

Princess Yachts is celebrating the anniversary with a limited series of the iconic V40. The updated model has a redesigned profile and a graphic with the "60 years" emblem extends the window line. The cabin roof comes with an optional stripe in a contrasting colour that matches the piping on the exterior upholstery. The "60 years" emblem is also embroidered into the helm seat. An exclusive three-spoke steering wheel completes the look and is a popular option on some of the larger models.

Princess Yachts is also producing a series of films showing the brand's journey from a small boat shed to the UK's largest luxury yacht manufacturer. In Episode 1 the founder of the company, David King, takes viewers back to the very beginning - when the shared passion of three friends led to Project 31, Princess Yachts' first model. The programme continues with Episode 2.
