Kurt Lehmann, who operates Yacht Moments from Mallorca, mediated between the German owner and the Italian shipyard. Stefan Zucker & Partner GmbH from Hamburg is responsible for supervising the construction. New CEO Franco Fusignani emphasised the special significance of the five-deck boat for Benetti during the launch: "While every launch fills us with pride, that of 'Metis' is something very special for us: her owner, together with Yacht Moments, allows us to expand our presence in the strategically important German market."
Bannenberg & Rowell realised an asymmetrical layout in which the lounge on the upper deck as well as the beach club and saloon on the main deck were rotated by 30 degrees for a better sea view. The light-flooded 162 square metre owner's suite on the upper deck, which offers access to the 55 square metre bow terrace and a touch & go helipad, remains untouched. The main deck features a dining area, a games room and a double cabin with an adjoining nanny's flat. The lower deck accommodates twelve crew members, while the captain's private realm is located behind the bridge. Above this, owners and guests can work out in a 20-square-metre gym.
Birgit Otte Interior Design from Wolfersdorf in Bavaria helped decorate the interior, which is characterised by bleached oak, leather details and exposed carbon. Two MTU gensets are to accelerate the 63-metre-long, 1100-tonne steel/aluminium displacement vessel to a maximum of 16 knots and allow a range of 5000 nautical miles at a speed of 12 knots with 115,000 litres of diesel in the bunker.
