The steel construction work at the Codecasa site in Pisa is proceeding according to plan and the furnishing and equipping phase is due to begin shortly.
Construction of the 65-metre-long displacer, which began in April, is now being fitted with aluminium superstructures and two Caterpillar engines. The Italians estimate the top speed of the timeless design from the computers of the shipyard's own creative department at 17 knots. The interior design and décor are being created in close cooperation with the owner, but details of the designers involved are not yet known. Delivery of the new Codecasa displacement vessel is planned for summer 2019.
