A large ceremony with friends and the employees involved in the project was cancelled due to the coronavirus situation. The crisis presented the shipyard with unprecedented challenges in the final phase of delivery. Final acceptances and all the usual necessary meetings of internal and external experts were often realised in alternative ways. A&R adapted work schedules, avoided gatherings of people in individual rooms and provided protective masks for work on board. In addition, the company management sent numerous employees to work from home and introduced a two-shift system for workplaces where this was not possible. All offices are cleaned and sanitised between shifts.
Till von Krause, Sales Director for Yachts, shed light on the cooperation with suppliers: "We have been working with the majority of these partners for years or even decades. The resulting relationship of trust and precise knowledge of work processes has made it extremely easy to implement the urgently needed measures to protect everyone. This meant that the punctual handover to the owner was never jeopardised."
Bremen-based studio Focus Yacht Design was responsible for the exterior and interior styling of the 68-metre-long "Soaring". The management and charter activities are coordinated by Zurich-based brokerage Ocean Independence.
