Gruppo Antonini recently generated an average annual turnover of over 50 million euros, primarily through the production of oil platforms and pipelines. The yachting venture is accompanied by investments totalling ten million euros. A large part has been invested in the expansion of the former Navalmare site not far from La Spezia, where refits and new buildings up to 70 metres long are being built.
Six months after its foundation, Antonini Navi is working on the hull of the UP40. The platform concept devised by Fulvio De Simoni allows owners who get on board during the shell construction phase to pursue further development into a classic yacht, an explorer or a crossover variant. The direction taken with the first 40-metre-long utility platform will become clear by 2022 at the latest. Some of the 200 employees are also welding on a 52-metre steel hull on behalf of another shipyard. Antonini Navi's sales manager Aldo Manna has recently been promoting the new brand with the military-styled 56-metre OPV 56 design, also by De Simoni.
