A resort for yachts
The Austrian brand Silent Yachts is embedding its solar-powered cats in a hotel complex. The centrepiece is a clubhouse with a restaurant.
Silent-Yachts, known for its solar-powered catamarans, is expanding its business. Together with Victor Barrett and TrueDesign, the Silent Resorts have been developed, in which the environmentally friendly yachts serve as accommodation. The structure of the resorts stands in the water - long walkways branch off from a central platform complete with reception, restaurant, clubhouse, gym and spa and lead to the yachts. The development and construction time is estimated at 18 months; Silent CEO Michael Köhler says: "The resorts will of course also be built sustainably. Investors will also appreciate the low purchase and operating costs."
