The voluminous exterior was designed by the Dutch firm Omega Architects. Frank Laupman and his team entrusted the British designers from Redman Whitely Dixon with a volume of 235 gross tonnes for free interior design. Ceiling-high windows surround almost the entire main deck, where the private suite and saloon are located. Four guest cabins are spread across the 7.40 metre wide lower deck. Two Yanmar six-cylinder engines, each with 368 kilowatts, work in the engine room. The operating radius is 4500 nautical miles. Like many Turkish shipyards at present, Alia Yachts appears to be benefiting directly from the weak Turkish lira. Several interested parties have announced their intention to purchase the 31-metre platform on which "Virgen del Mar VI" is based. The shipyard, which was founded in 2008, is also working with Omega Architects on a 37-metre and a 50-metre version of the new addition to the fleet, which was originally planned as a custom.
