With "Nomad", the Dutch launched their second 180 this year and the 25th in the shipyard's history. The custom aspect obviously refers to the hull colour, which the owner chose together with limited edition stylist Tim Heywood. As usual, the owner also brought along his own interior designers. The fact that Bonesteel Trout Hall were Californian interior designers with no yachting experience is not unusual at present. After all, the interiors of their own homes and that of the yacht should speak the same design language.
Rutger Dolk from Amels comments on the advantages of the semi-custom build: "The owners were heavily involved in the customisation of the exterior and interior. Creating such a customised yachting experience in less than a year is a credit to our design and project teams and the great strength of our Limited Editions philosophy." Highlights of Amel's latest 180 include an almost 2000 square metre sundeck and the folding balcony in the owner's quarters on the main deck.
