As Germany's largest in-water boat show, the yacht festival presented the latest developments and innovations in the industry with around 180 exhibitors and 170 yachts from all well-known manufacturers. Like at hardly any other boat show, visitors had the opportunity to experience world, European and German premieres directly in the water. For example, the BOOTE Foil Experience offered readers the opportunity to try out Candela foil electric boats and so-called foil boards.
A special focus this year was on exhibitors from Scandinavia, including renowned shipyards such as Axopar, Marex, Nimbus, Sargo and Saxdor. Boats from Hallberg-Rassy, Najad, Arcona and Linjett from Sweden as well as X-Yachts, Faurby, Nordship and Dragonfly from Denmark were available for sailors to try out.
In the sailing yacht segment, X-Yachts presented several premieres, including the XR41 and the world premiere of the X4³ MK2. Hallberg Rassy presented its flagship, the 22.22 metre HR69, alongside a whole fleet of other yachts.
Enthusiasts of larger motor yachts such as the Prestige, Princess, Galeon and Sunseeker also got their money's worth, while in the motorboat segment, innovations such as the Marex 330 and 375 were on show for the first time in Germany. Electric boats such as the X Shore 1 and the Candela C-8 with innovative hydrofoil drive represented the trend towards sustainable drive concepts with electric motors.
Accessories, equipment and services relating to the maritime hobby could be found in the pagodas arranged around the harbour. Bernd Gröneveld from Raymarine commented: "For us, the Ancora Boat Show is the trade fair of short distances. The proximity of our pagodas to the water, to the boats and thus to the customers offers us many opportunities for contact and dialogue.
The Ancora Yacht Festival not only offered a large selection of yachts and boats, but also an extensive supporting programme. The event programme included over 80 events on two stages and various event areas. From maritime art in the exhibition hall to music acts on the lake stage and demonstrations on the quay wall, the fair offered a varied programme.
With three motorised catamarans, four sailing catamarans and a trimaran, the Ancora Yacht Festival also offered a wide selection for lovers of multihulls. The Dragonfly 36 Performance Trimaran and catamarans such as the Excess 11 and the Lagoon 51 demonstrated the versatility and comfort of this boat class. In the motorised catamaran segment, models such as the Fountaine Pajot MY4 and the Prestige M48 were represented.
