After "Quantum of Solace" and "Diamonds Are Forever", "Spectre" is the third customised Benetti from the Staluppis, which, like their nine previous yachts, was named after a James Bond film. The New York businessman broke several speed records with his superyacht formats, but today favours charter rather than speed capability. Designer Giorgio M. Cassetta, who is close to Benetti, was responsible for both the exterior and interior styling. The layout provides for six cabins for twelve guests, two of which are double cabins together with the crew areas for up to 14 people on the lower deck. From there, it is a short walk to the gym, hammam, massage room, beach club and the tender garage with a 7.50 metre and a nine metre tender as well as two jet skis. There are two guest cabins and a VIP suite on the main deck. The lounge there houses four wine fridges and merges aft into a lobby with a glass lift. On the upper deck, the aft open space with a four-metre-long dining table is adjoined by a 90-square-metre saloon and the Staluppis' owner's flat, which has exclusive bow access and two folding balconies. The Italian-American's express wish was probably the pizza oven on the bridge deck - and the top speed of just over 21 knots. After all, Staluppi can't be really slow. We have already reported on the MTU propulsion package and the efficient hull of the almost 70 metre long "Spectre" here.
