The Italian shipyard celebrated the launch of the 40-metre GRP ship in Livorno. "Joy" is the sister ship to "Rebeca" (issue 2/21).

The second Oasis 40M owner also adopted the interior design proposal by New York studio Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture. The RWD lines are characterised by a 90 square metre "beach" area, which extends to a width of eleven metres via a pool in the stern and a folding bulwark. Redman Whiteley Dixon drew inspiration from the automotive industry for the silver surround of the main deck windows.

One of the special features of "Joy" is a remote control running via WLAN, which the captain can use to dock from the beach club. Benetti also installed additional loudspeakers on the outside and an air treatment system on the inside that harmonises the oxygen content, humidity and temperature and exchanges the air up to six times an hour.

Pierluigi Ausonio's P.L.A.N.A. office was responsible for the construction of the Oasis 40M, which has a top speed of 18 knots. According to Benetti, ten other units have been sold in addition to "Rebeca" and "Joy".
