It will soon be time again for the world's largest water sports trade fair to open its doors: boot 2025 has long been on the calendars of many water sports fans. From 18 to 26 January, Düsseldorf will once again be the venue for motor boaters, sailors, surfers and divers. Almost 1500 exhibitors await visitors. 16 exhibition halls covering almost 220,000 square metres will become the global stage for water sports. Almost 214,000 interested visitors from more than 100 countries came to boot in 2024. What will the number of visitors be like this year? The selection of offers is certainly diverse.
Petros Michelidakis, the director of boot, says of the trade fair: "The music plays in Düsseldorf!" If you want to experience the diversity of water sports and learn about them in person, you've come to the right place.
From superyachts to tenders - boot's range is more diverse than anywhere else thanks to its position as the world's largest water sports trade fair. No other trade fair attracts not only all the shipyards but also almost all the well-known outfitters.
In Hall 1 you will find the various motorboat models from Jeanneau/Beneteau, the yachts from Linsen or Elling from the Netherlands and the Brazilian boats from Schaefer Yachts. Targa, Sago, Linex and Viknes will also be presenting their latest models. The relatively affordable boats for beginners, fully equipped motorboats and outboards are on display in Hall 3. Here, for example, Bayliner, Honda, Mercury, Suzuki, Tohatsu and Yamaha will be showing their product ranges. There is also an area for sport fishing.
In Hall 4, Axopar, Yot, Nimbus and X Shore, the industry's innovation drivers, will be on board. Halls 5, 6 and 7a are dedicated to the trade fair's extravagant exhibits. Pardo, Capelli, De Antonio, Frauscher and Stratos Yachts, among others, will be exhibiting in Hall 5. You can marvel at the luxury models from Azimut, Bluegame, Ferretti, Pearl, Princess, Sunseeker and Wally in Hall 6.
The maritime art location in Hall 7 has also grown historically, and art lovers will get their money's worth here. Renowned artists and galleries will be bringing their most beautiful pieces to the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital. The latest ribs from 3D Tender, Italboats, Tiger Marine, Zodiac and others can be found in Hall 9.
Visitors interested in technical equipment and the latest technology in the maritime sector will find what they are looking for in Halls 10 and 11. Hall 11 is also home to divers, who also occupy Hall 12, where the "Dive Centre" includes the well-known diving tower, where various demonstrations and hands-on activities take place. The "Destination Seaside" in Hall 13 and part of Hall 14 invites visitors to dream away to the most beautiful destinations on our planet. Also in Hall 14 are the paddlers.
Halls 15 and 16 are traditionally reserved for sailing yachts, while in Hall 17 you will find the trend sports. For example, the different variations of surfing will be presented. In addition, the large pool will tempt visitors to join in and try things out - even the youngest visitors might want to bring their swimming gear. For example, there is a wakeboard facility and guests can try out stand-up paddling, among other things.
The "blue innovation dock" is also back this year. It is organised by boot in cooperation with the European Boating Industry (EBI) and serves as a dialogue platform with political, scientific, technological and media expertise. "As a child of boot, the 'blue innovation dock' is a real driver of innovation," emphasised Michelidakis last year.
A normal day ticket for admission to this year's edition of the trade fair costs €21 in the online shop. For admission to two days of the fair, visitors will have to pay €36. boot. club members pay only €19 for admission to two days. There are also discounted day tickets for €14 and afternoon tickets. These are valid from 2 to 6 p.m. and only from Monday to Friday. The afternoon tickets cost €12. Important for travelling by public transport: Since last year, the admission ticket no longer counts for the fare zone of the Rhine-Ruhr transport association. You should therefore familiarise yourself with the different ticket types in advance. For example, it may be worth buying a "Düsseldorf Card". The trade fair offers large car parks for car travellers. A free shuttle bus service starts there and takes visitors directly to the trade fair entrances at short intervals.
As last year, you will find our Delius Klasing publishing house in Hall 10, where our colleagues from YACHT, BOOTE and BOOTE EXCLUSIV as well as our employees from the book publishing house will be represented at Stand G18. The entire range of Delius Klasing water sports literature awaits you at our stand: from calendars and magazines to nautical charts, you will find everything your heart desires. You can also try out our Delius Klasing software on site again this year. There will be a counter for the YACHT and BOOTE magazines, where you can also meet the editors.
Many of our book authors are also guests on our stage as panellists. We have also put together a varied programme with guest speakers. As usual, you will find the editors of our magazine SURF at the trend sports in Hall 17 (Stand D36). We look forward to seeing you at both stands!
