Southern Wind Shipyard launched a 30-metre lightweight format in Cape Town, which was built according to individual owner specifications.

The "Morgana" owner approached the Italian design house Nauta Design with his ideas in 2017. His wish: a yacht with a modern, aggressive exterior that could make fast and safe progress both in blue water and on regatta courses. The design contract was awarded to Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design, and Southern Wind built RP-Nauta 100 to the highest standards. The 30.50 metre long hull with a narrow waterline is based on a Corecell core, which is covered inside and out with a full carbon laminate. On the other hand, Nomex and prepregs were used for the foredecks and side decks as well as for the cockpit and frames. SWS Managing Director Marco Alberti on the technical refinements of the 64-tonne lightweight: "This yacht benefits from the experience we have gained with semi-custom formats of the same size and from the innovations of the SW-RP90 Custom 'Allsmoke'."

The lifting keel ranges from four to 6.10 metres, the carbon rig and mast carry a sporty sail plan and the bowsprit is removable. The hydraulic system was designed by Carlo Torre from Monaco Yacht Temptation. Based in Monaco, the Italian has already brought many Wally formats to life and acted as owner's representative for RP-Nauta 100.

Below deck, the layout also reflects the owner's fast-sailing ambitions. The four crew beds in the stern are located close to the cockpit. Accordingly, the owner sleeps in the bow, while two further double cabins for guests are located forward and aft of the saloon. Like all SWS deliveries, "Morgana" arrives in the Mediterranean on her own keel, where the owner is waiting for her.
