The elegant lines are characterised by flat superstructures with a total of three cockpits and a low freeboard that runs amidships in the tumblehome. The projecting hull section, which becomes narrower towards the deck, is intended to increase the righting moment. The 4.25 metre deep keel centreboard follows the same design concept. "Meraki" displaces 280 tonnes and carries 1220 square metres of Doyle sails on a carbon mast from Southern Spars. For sporty sailing or racing, the crew of eight adds a code zero or gennaker. The sheets run on capstan winches, halyards and spreaders on deck winches from Harken. Dick Young from Rhoades Young Design worked with the owner to design the interior for nine guests.
