The result is a yachting conglomerate with a very broad portfolio. With the Limited Editions small series, Amels offers superyachts from 55 metres or in custom versions up to 83 metres in length. Yacht Support markets supply vessels that relieve the load on mother ships by providing storage space for tenders and toys as well as additional crew. Since its foundation ten years ago, 15 of these Shadow formats have been afloat. The latest addition to Damen's yacht division is SeaXplorer. The first of the robust explorers with high autonomy measures 62 metres and is about to be delivered. A total of six yachts were delivered in 2019 and contracts were signed for seven new build projects. Damen Yachting says it is currently managing 20 new build and refit projects, six of which are due to be launched this year.
Damen Yachting is headed by Rose Damen, the granddaughter of shipyard founder Jan Damen. "By merging the yachting portfolio, we are strengthening our internal expertise and our specialist teams. We guarantee maximum efficiency in the world's best shipyard facilities for superyachts," says Rose Damen, who operates from Damen's headquarters in Vlissingen. The shipyard group employs 500 people at over 35 other locations, including in Poland, Romania and Turkey.
