According to the shipyard, the FC² 70 is equally suitable for calling at New York or Patagonia. The model name stands for FC x FC, Finot-Conq x Fast Cruiser. In other words, for comfortable, fast long-distance sailing. And for one of the most successful French design offices, which designs offshore racers from Mini to Imoca 60 and series yachts for Bénéteau. Thanks to the swing keel, which folds away from 4.40 metres to 2.05 metres, the 6.40 metre wide FC² 70 can even sail into shallow bays. The deck and deckhouse are made of GRP and are bonded and screwed to the aluminium hull. The nimble cruising yacht weighs just 29 tonnes. The interior by Pierre Forgia is dominated by zebrano wood veneer, which contrasts with orange-coloured upholstery. The owner's cabin is located in front of the saloon, two double guest cabins are located aft in front of the lazarette, which is accommodated by a 3.80 metre tender. Propulsion is provided by 280 square metres of sail area at the cross and 455 square metres of sail area on a carbon mast. A Volvo Penta diesel engine with 132 kilowatts of power guides the FC² 70 through the calms. Bow and stern thrusters help with manoeuvres - in city harbours or in secluded anchor bays.
