First semi-glider from Sichterman

The owner took delivery of the model, labelled Inveni, in Workum. The shipyard Workumer Jachtservice welded and built the boat for Sichterman on the northern IJsselmeer. The 31.5 tonne displacement semi-glider is propelled by two Cummins diesels with a total output of 820 kilowatts at speeds of up to 23 knots. The cruising speed is 18 knots. The Van Oossannen design office supplied the efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form including Hull Vane. The aft underwater wing lifts the stern, prevents it from being sucked in and thus reduces fuel consumption. Inveni offers sleeping space for four people and can take six guests on day trips. Two further Sichterman yachts made of aluminium, 16 and 20 metres in length, are currently under construction.
