The displacer with lines by Frank Laupman and an efficient Van Oossanen hull is Heesen's second hybrid yacht. "Electra" relies on the same diesel-electric propulsion system as its sister ship "Home", which was launched in 2017 - and also dispenses with batteries. Two 127-kilowatt electric motors are powered either by two generators, the two MTU diesels or, in boost mode for a top speed of 16.3 knots, by all four gensets. As with "Home", Heesen engaged Italian designer Cristiano Gatto for the interior, which Sabrina Monte-Carlo customised for the owner. The main deck is characterised by floor-to-ceiling windows and accommodates the owner in the forward section, with ten guests sleeping below in a VIP cabin and four double cabins.
