The 50-metre steel displacement vessel with the striking silhouette, which was already under construction, was sold to an American by Ocean Independence.
The experienced owner had already been looking for the right yacht for a year and is said to have immediately fallen in love with the curves inspired by cult racing cars. Heesen commissioned Clifford Denn to design the exterior of the project, which is under 500 gross tonnage, and called on the services of Reymond Langton for the interior. Project "Maia" is to be handed over to the owner in June after extensive test runs on the North Sea.
