Good news: The fire is under control and the 219-metre floating dock has been saved. According to Lürssen spokesman Oliver Grün, the yacht, which is believed to be the 146-metre "Sassi" project, was already in the final outfitting phase. Up to 900 firefighters were deployed, including Hamburg fire brigade personnel specialising in ship fires. It is not yet clear how much damage has been caused and what started the fire. The Bremen police have begun an investigation.

Report from 14.9.

The fire brigade is on site with a fireboat and more than 170 firefighters, whose extinguishing work is expected to continue throughout the weekend. Shipping traffic on the Weser is not affected and residents no longer have to keep their windows and doors closed. Seven 100-metre-plus yachts are currently being built in the Lürssen halls. The fire is said to have broken out on "Sassi" on Friday night. According to the latest information from the "Weser-Kurier", there is a risk that the 146-metre format will burn out. A statement from Lürssen states that there has been no personal injury so far, nor has the fire spread to other buildings or yachts.
