Mangusta launches 28-metre Open
The Overmarine shipyard launched the seventh Maxi Open for the US market in five years at the Viareggio site with a Mangusta 94.
Mangusta developed the Maxi Open series especially for shallow waters such as the Bahamas or the Hamptons. The Mangusta 94 has a draught of just 1.60 metres. With two 16-cylinder MTU diesels, each generating 1939 kilowatts and powered by two Kamewa waterjets, the 28.72 metre long and 6.60 metre wide Mangusta 94 can reach speeds of over 36 knots. Thanks to two gyro stabilisers, the top speed fun is not dampened even in rough conditions. The owner of Mangusta's latest Maxi Open ordered the interior from Andrew Winch Design. Designer Stefano Righini was responsible for the exterior styling.
