At the De Vries site in Makkum, the Dutch shipyard group presented the 99.95 metre long "Moonrise" with an exterior design by the shipyard's own creative office Studio De Voogt.

Studio De Voogt, the offshoot of Feadship's own design office, was also involved in the "Savannah" designs five years ago. Similarities can be found in the straight stern, the superstructure characterised by glass and the window strip of the main deck that extends just forward of the bow. The mast in the shape of a whale's tail fin and the generous width of 15.50 metres promise to set it apart. Rémi Tessier designed the living areas with accommodation for 16 guests.

Special attention was also paid to the crew accommodation for 32 people, which Feadship describes as high-calibre and flooded with light. The foredeck acts as a helipad, and the beach club in the stern contains a gym and wellness area. Two MTU diesels are designed to propel "Moonrise" to 19.5 knots, while the waste heat from the generators heats the Jacuzzis.
