The 55 metre long steel-aluminium format, previously known under the project name "Pollux", is based on a platform designed by Omega Architects.

Omega founder Frank Laupmann prescribed hull and superstructure windows that emphasise verticality and a bow that evokes shark associations. Heesen's second delivery of 2021 comes in at an impressive 760 gross tonnes. The steel hull calculated by Van Oossanen is powered by two IMO Tier III-certified MTU engines (8V 4000 M63), which are said to require just 150 litres of diesel per hour at a speed of eleven knots.

Bannenberg & Rowell worked on the interior design for the "Pollux" project, which the "Moskito" owner adopted in its entirety and had the London studio complete with artworks and books. Dickie Bannenberg says of the styling: "This interior is suitable for a look in shorts and a T-shirt as well as for dinner dress."

After delivery in Oss in the Netherlands, "Moskito" set off on her maiden voyage to Malta, where Captain Phil Larkin and his crew of twelve intend to travel non-stop and along 81 waypoints in the Mediterranean - an ideal first test for the new build. The 55 metres will be available to charter guests in the Mediterranean during the summer months and in the Caribbean in winter. Enquiries are handled by International Yacht Collection (IYC).
