Following the delivery of the 136 metre long "Flying Fox" and the 111 metre long "Tis", Lürssen is preparing for the handover of another large format. The shipyard, which has sites all over northern Germany, laid the "Lightning" project at its own quay at the shipyard's headquarters in Bremen-Vegesack. The order is extremely secretive, even by Lürssen standards, as absolutely no details about the gigayacht have been disclosed to date. The only thing that is certain is that the rather classic design measures more than 130 metres in length. Aerial photos show two large helipads - one in the bow and one on the top deck in the stern - as well as an opening for what is presumably a beach club. The closed structure of the superstructure and the small number of exterior surfaces lead connoisseurs to assume that the ship was commissioned by an Arabian client.
