High speeds are a tradition at Baglietto. Founded in 1854, the shipyard has brought many a victorious motorboat to the starting line and delivered a 50-knot torpedo boat to the Italian Navy in 1937. Francesco Paszkowski is responsible for the lines of the new 41-metre order. The hull and superstructure are to be champagne-coloured, made of aluminium and result in a flybridge format with dynamic, sporty lines. The designer from Florence already drew the 44 metre long and 31 knot "Sea Kid" (ex-"Tatiana per Sempre") for Baglietto in 2007. Paszkowski is also developing the interior for the owner, who will occupy his suite amidships on the lower deck in front of three double cabins.
With three twelve-cylinder engines from MTU's 2000 series, the Superfast 41 is set to accelerate up to 33 knots for the first time in 2023. The target cruising speed is 28 knots. Baglietto is currently working on nine yachts at the La Spezia and Carrara sites, three of which are being built on spec and without an owner.
