Something that has been a long time in the making is all the more impressive: the No Limit 1320 is the result of a development process spanning several years at the family-run shipyard in Groningen. The second generation of the Wierenga family – brothers Peter and Bart Wierenga – have brought the project to fruition, drawing on the wealth of experience of their father, Piet Wierenga.
“We didn’t want to start building a new flagship model until everything was just right: the lines, the proportions, the handling and the feel on board,” the brothers explain.
When developing the No Limit 1320, the shipyard deliberately looked beyond its own national borders. The team visited boat shows and markets in Sweden and the USA – including Stockholm, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. The insights gained were incorporated directly into the new model: retaining No Limit’s tried-and-tested DNA, whilst becoming fresher, sportier and more contemporary.
The design builds on the experience gained from the No Limit 15.50 Four Seasons, which has already clocked up more than 11,000 nautical miles at sea.
For the design of the No Limit 1320, the shipyard collaborated with the Dutch designer Arnold de Ruyter. His starting point: a fully seaworthy yacht with the look and appeal of a day cruiser. The result is a yacht with a Corten steel hull and aluminium superstructure, as well as a distinctive rubbing strake that runs the full length of the yacht.
Powered by two Volvo Penta IPS600 propulsion units, the No Limit 1320 reaches a top speed of around 30 knots. The IPS propulsion system ensures excellent performance and manoeuvrability. Its robust construction and CE-A certification underline the yacht’s ability to navigate safely even in challenging offshore conditions.
