Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft bought the insolvent Rendsburg shipyard, which specialised in custom-built yachts.

It took three months before insolvency administrator Hendrik Gittermann presented an investor. The lawyer from the Hamburg law firm Reimer said of the talks with shipyards, private investors and investment companies: "There was a huge amount of interest in the long-established Rendsburg company." The northern German shipyards complement each other well: Nobiskrug scores with dry docks and equipment expertise, while FSG is known for high-quality metal construction. In future, Nobiskrug's newbuildings will be laid down in Flensburg. FSG is owned by the Dutch Tennor Holding of Lars Windhorst, who was celebrated as an economic prodigy in his younger years and who owns the 68-metre Lürssen "Global". Windhorst on the purchase: "Nobiskrug gives us access to the attractive growth market of superyacht construction. The renowned shipyard stands for innovative and ecologically sophisticated custom shipbuilding like few others." FSG Managing Director Philipp Maracke heads both shipyards. According to the insolvency administrator, almost all of the 330 shipbuilding jobs and apprenticeships will be retained and ongoing projects will be continued. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
