The Pershing 140 is the first Pershing not to be built in GRP or CFRP in Mondolfo, but in aluminium in Ancona - where the Ferretti Group welds together all metal yachts with a hull length of 40 metres or more. Both the exterior and interior were designed by Fulvio De Simoni. The Milanese designer with a naval architecture background has been responsible for Pershing's striking design language since 1985. For the first time, the new flagship has a blunt stern, which looks typically aggressive in combination with the bow mast and the angular, powerful silhouette of Pershing. And harmonises perfectly with the propulsion package. The captain has access to four MTU gensets, which transmit a total output of 7756 kilowatts to two steerable and two fixed waterjets. Pershing's engineers have forecast a top speed of 38 knots and a range of 1200 nautical miles at 35 knots.
The open spaces are modular. The foremost seating area is only open to the crew when the boat is stationary, and the beach club opens up to both sides of the hull and via a large aft platform. On the main deck there is a lounge and a dining and entertainment area. Ten guests, including the owner, sleep on the lower deck, with a crew of ten. After the sea trials, "Chorusline" will head for Asian waters. Meanwhile, the Ferretti Group in Ancona is already welding on the 51 metre long Pershing 170.
