The classic ketch designed by Dykstra Naval Architects was launched at the shipyard in Vollenhove.

The experienced US owner ordered the interior styling to match the exterior from Mark Whiteley from Lymington, who also secured the exterior and interior design contract for the world's largest aluminium yacht at 81 metres in length. The modern three-mast schooner is also being built in Royal Huisman's halls as Project 400 and is scheduled for delivery in 2020.

"The 'Aquarius' owner wanted an elegant yacht with classic overhangs that was both bucket-length and designed for extended family cruising," explains Thys Nickels of Dykstra Naval Architects.

The carbon fibre rigging package (Panamax dimensions) of the 56-metre ketch is supplied by Rondal, while the lazarette accommodates a wide variety of tenders and toys (lasers, kayaks, windsurfing equipment, bicycles).

Delivery is planned for next year, with the maiden voyage to the Lesser Antilles.
