For the exterior, Sanlorenzo worked together with Bernardo Zuccon, whose sister Martina Zuccon submitted the interior proposal to potential owners. However, as is usual for semi-custom formats of this size, they usually get involved through their own designers. For construction number one, it is the Florentine architect Michele Bonan; for another 44, Studio Christian Liaigre is filling the interior volume of 470 gross tonnes with furniture and ideas. The designers' interpretation of the 145 square metre owner's flat, which is spread over three levels, is eagerly awaited. Other highlights include the beach club, which is open on three sides, and the foredeck with pool.
The standard engine configuration of two MTU diesels, each with an output of 1432 knots, promises a top speed of 20 knots; with the sixteen-cylinder version (2 x 1939 kilowatts), the 8.90 metre wide aluminium hull should cut through the water at two knots more. The 44Alloy is the big sister of the 40Alloy, of which the shipyard, which is listed on the Milan stock exchange, has delivered ten units since 2007. Sanlorenzo is about to resume work at all sites and plans to launch the second 44Alloy "very soon". The remaining four of the five units of the 44.50 metre aluminium format currently under construction are being built in parallel in a hall.
