The members of the Sport Boat Association, who had signed up for an exclusive tour of the Bavaria Yachtwerft shipyard in Giebelstadt, spent a day together. The DMYV offers a number of benefits for boaters and has now organised an event for its members.
The participants were welcomed by SBC and Bavaria Yachtwerft employees, including managers such as COO Norbert Leifeld and Head of Production David Krebelder. Marcus Schlichting, Bavaria's press spokesman, explained the history of the shipyard and gave the members a tour of the production halls where the boats are built. The combination of automated technology and manual assembly work used at Bavaria was impressive.
The tour was followed by a convivial evening at the Landgasthof Lutz, including dinner and a cheerful game of skittles. The winner was able to look forward to a year's free SBC membership. Both the participants and the SBC and Bavaria teams were delighted with a day full of interesting insights and a cheerful atmosphere.
