Solaris takes over CNB
Solaris takes over CNB | NB
The CNB shipyard, originally from Bordeaux, was bought by the Italians from Solaris.

Together, the two shipyards have 80 years of yacht building experience. Solaris has dedicated itself to the series production of performance cruisers since it was founded in 1974. Various new models and the flagship Solaris 111, produced in collaboration with Performance Boats, have recently shown that the shipyard from Aquileia is on course for growth.

CNB was founded in Bordeaux in 1987 and has been part of the Beneteau Group since 1992. The small series currently starts at 66 feet, but the French shipyard is also known for complex one-offs. From September 2019, CNB will have the 66 and 76 built in Monfalcone, Italy, by Monte Carlo Yachts, another Beneteau subsidiary. Models already under construction will be completed here and units sold in 2021 will be built. From 2022, all CNBs will then be built at Solaris. The moulds for the CNB 66 and 76 do not have to travel far. The Solaris production facility in Aquileia is only 20 kilometres away from Monfalcone.

With their high freeboard, striking deckhouses and hull edges, the yachts from CNB and Solaris are also visually very similar. We will see what the first joint project looks like in a few weeks' time when the CNB 8X is unveiled.
