Successful year for Ferretti

This consolidates the Group's position in the top 20 of the world's largest yacht builders and represents an increase of 7.5 per cent compared to the previous year (148 yachts). The Forlì-based company estimates the value of the yachts built in 2017 at 600 million euros. With 87 yachts over 24 metres in length sold or under construction, the shipyard group is one of the market leaders in the semi-custom format sector. Over the next three years, the Ferretti Group is aiming to launch 24 new models, accompanied by an investment of 50 million euros in research and development. The funds for this are being provided by the two shareholders, the Chinese Weichai Group and the Ferrari family.
