The superyacht broker and service provider, headquartered in Küsnacht near Zurich in Switzerland, has opened a branch office not far from the Binnenalster, in the immediate vicinity of numerous banks and shipping companies. The office is staffed by yacht manager and ex-captain Mirko Derezynski. As part of this expansion, Lukas Stratmann has also shifted his focus to Germany. The experienced sales broker, who was previously based in Palma de Mallorca, will now advise and support clients primarily from Düsseldorf and Hamburg.
Peter Hürzeler, Managing Partner of Ocean Independence, comments: "The German-speaking market, including Austria and Switzerland, has been one of the most important for the company since its foundation. It is therefore a logical step to strengthen our presence here. Hamburg, with its proximity to the world's leading shipyards and specialised companies as well as its unique maritime aura, is an excellent place to intensively cultivate relationships with our northern German customers and partners."
The new Hamburg branch of yacht insurer Bavaria AG is located just 400 metres away from Ocean Independence. CEO Sandra Ahrabian comments on the move: "For some time now, partners and customers have been asking us whether we could have an even stronger presence on the North and Baltic Seas. We have now decided to do this and are looking forward to having much more personal contact with owners and dealers in northern Germany." The specialist broker's range extends from the H dinghy to motor yachts in the 10 to 20 metre class and formats of over 50 metres in length. Bavaria AG's headquarters will remain in Grünwald, Bavaria.
