Leopard Yachts was founded in 1973 by the Picchiotti family and was last built at Tombolo on the Navicelli Canal not far from Pisa airport. Seven Stars Marina & Shipyard has now taken over this very shipyard and presented a 35.80 metre GRP glider. Paola Bacigalupo designed the exterior and interior of the Leopard 36, while Andrea Bacigalupo supplied the hull construction of the 120-tonne vessel, which sleeps a total of ten guests in five cabins spread across the main and lower decks in two layout configurations.
Two sixteen-cylinder MTU engines each deliver 1939 kilowatts of power to two Kamewa waterjet units. The maximum speed is 34 knots. It reaches 42 knots with the optional third power unit of the same design, which then acts on a central booster. Following the Leopard 36, a 24 and 46 metre format is planned.
