Project "Sparta" cleared numerous hurdles within three days. First, the Dutch steel shipyard Talsma launched the 67-metre hull, while Heesen positioned powerful cranes a good 150 kilometres further south. Once the towing convoy had arrived in Oss, the two MTU engines (12V4000 M65R) and gearboxes were positioned. Only then could the two-part aluminium superstructure and the mast system be placed on the hull. The finished construction is now safely stored in Heesen's hangar no. 5, where the outfitting and interior work is taking place. The 67 metre project "Sparta" is scheduled for delivery in 2023. At the same time, work is continuing on Heesen's flagship project "Cosmos". No joke: on 1 April, the Dutch yacht builders plan to hand over the 80-metre aluminium construction, which was also designed by Winch, to the owner.
