The Biski from Gibbs Amphibians, for example, transforms from a motorbike to a jet ski in just five seconds. On land, the 228 kg and 2.35 m long two-wheeler reaches a top speed of 130 km/h. In the water, it glides over the waves at up to 60 km/h thanks to its retractable wheels and jet drive.
The Biski is powered by a 55 hp 2-cylinder petrol engine. Large floats under the side panelling provide the necessary buoyancy. The manufacturer does not specify the price, but similar models are available for around 50,000 euros.
The unique concept of the Biski allows the rider to switch seamlessly between land and water operation. On the road, it functions as a fully-fledged motorbike for one or two people. In the water, it transforms into a powerful jet ski. According to the manufacturer, this transformation is possible in less than five seconds.
The Biski is propelled by two water jet nozzles, which provide propulsion both in the water and on land. For road use, the vehicle has two wheels that are retracted when immersed in water. Gibbs has not yet published the exact motorisation and performance data.
The Biski is aimed at water sports enthusiasts who are looking for maximum flexibility. It makes it possible to drive directly from the road into the water without having to change vehicles or launch a boat. This opens up new possibilities for spontaneous excursions and leisure activities.
Gibbs is a company that specialises in the development of high-speed amphibious vehicles. In addition to the Biski, the manufacturer's portfolio also includes larger models such as the Quadski and Terraquad.
