The Aquaspirit S370GT "Genius Tender" brings the proven advantages of larger aluminium RIBs into the compact format of a tender. We took a closer look at the model at boot in Düsseldorf

Thanks to the closed hull shell with D-shaped hoses guided in piping, the boat offers an exceptional internal width and length. The robust aluminium hull is foam-filled, ensuring high stability, durability and particularly low maintenance. The hoses are also easy to replace as they are not glued.

Optimised space and high stability

With an overall length of 3.70 metres (3.50 metres without bathing platform), the S370GT surpasses many tenders in terms of space. The interior width is particularly generous at around 30 centimetres more than comparable models, allowing two people to sit comfortably next to each other - both in the bow and stern area. The control console has also been optimised for functionality and clarity. It has an engine panel that displays all the relevant data for the 60 hp Suzuki outboard motor, as well as a steering wheel, ignition key and throttle grip. The navigation lighting can be controlled via a switch.

Powerful and suitable for water sports

Despite its compact dimensions, the S370GT offers exceptional driving stability, which is also reflected in the CE certification (C) for motorisation up to 60 hp. Water sports enthusiasts benefit from a plug-in water ski pole fitted as standard. Side bathing platforms with an integrated bathing ladder make it easier to get in and out of the water.

Practical storage and well thought-out equipment

A special feature is the foldable control stand, which reduces the height by around 40 centimetres and enables storage in a tender garage. The entire electronics, including the battery, are integrated in this foldable area.

There is additional storage space under the 1.20 metre wide bench seat and in the floor. The permanently installed 42-litre aluminium fuel tank is located under the bow bench seat. The boat can be easily accessed via the bow platform, while stable cleats at the bow and stern as well as several hot and towing eyes facilitate transport.

Customisation options and materials

The Aquaspirit S370GT is available with PVC or Hypalon Orca hoses. The corrosion-protected, powder-coated aluminium hull can be selected in various colours. High-quality seat cushions made from spradling fabrics such as Silvertex provide additional comfort. A full boat cover and various decking options (anti-slip as standard or EVA foam decking at an extra charge) are available.

Conclusion

The Aquaspirit S370GT combines the stability and robustness of an aluminium RIB with the compact dimensions of a tender. Thanks to its well thought-out layout, high payload capacity and powerful motorisation, it is suitable both as a reliable dinghy for yachts and for sporty leisure use. A jet propulsion version is already being planned.

Ole Puls was born in Schleswig in 1999. He quickly swapped the football pitch for the Schlei and grew up sailing a wide variety of dinghies and tall ships. From his grandfather's self-built wooden opti and a Europe to a 49er and an X362 Sport, there was a lot to choose from. After leaving school, Puls decided to train as a boat builder at the high-tech shipyard Knierim Yachtbau in Kiel in 2016. He successfully completed his training in 2020 and stayed at the shipyard as a bachelor. In 2022, he decided not only to build boats, but also to test them. Since then, he has been working for Delius Klasing Verlag in the Test & Technology section of BOOTE magazine. The training he received and the eye for detail and quality of workmanship he acquired help him immensely today. Even though he is a regatta sailor with heart and soul, he feels right at home on motorboats and enjoys separating his professional and private lives and yet combining them. Because we all know one thing: there is simply no better place to be than on the water.
