We drive one of the small class, an Antares 6.80 with a 115 hp outboard motor. According to the shipyard, the boat weighs 1250 kg without the engine.
If you add it and the necessary equipment, it quickly adds up to 1700 kg, without the trailer. Adding this results in a total weight that pushes a mid-range car to its limits.
In terms of workmanship, we have both praise and criticism. The plastic finish was pleasing, except for the cut edges, which were only slightly sealed or rounded. On the other hand, the inside of the fuselage is smooth and sealed, especially when you lift up the floorboards - the result of the vacuum manufacturing process.
The electrical installation was criticised, with some of the cables hanging around in the interior of the boat and the fuse box being fiddly to access under the dashboard.
The technical installations, on the other hand, give no cause for criticism.
