French boat builder Beneteau is adding a new entry-level model to its popular Gran Turismo range. The Gran Turismo 35 is a compact boat that combines sporty design with practical functionality. With a length of 11.20 metres and a width of 4.65 metres, the boat offers space for up to 10 people during the day and four people for overnight stays.
The exterior design of the Gran Turismo 35 is characterised by a modern hull. The cockpit was modelled on Mediterranean villas and offers a modular layout. Folding side walls enlarge the aft deck to create a terrace. The seating area can be transformed into a sun lounger in no time at all.
Beneteau has opted for light-coloured wooden surfaces and plenty of natural light in the interior. The bow cabin can be used either as a lounge or as a double bed. A separate midship cabin offers additional sleeping space. The equipment includes an enclosed bathroom with shower and a galley. Well thought-out storage space solutions and integrated lighting round off the interior.
Two Mercury 300 hp Verado outboards are offered as standard engines. According to the shipyard, the Gran Turismo should be able to reach over 41 knots. Two 350 hp outboards are also available as an option. Beneteau specifies the fuel tank capacity as 2 x 370 litres.
The official presentation of the Gran Turismo 35 will take place on 29 and 30 August at the yacht club in Antibes on the Côte d'Azur. Interested parties can book test drives there.
Beneteau was founded in 1884 and is today one of the world's leading boat builders. The company produces sailing and motor yachts of various sizes and categories. The Gran Turismo range includes sporty luxury cruisers from 9 to 15 metres in length.
