French boat manufacturer Beneteau has announced a comprehensive overhaul of its popular Gran Turismo range. The new models are designed to better meet the changing demands of customers and combine sporty performance with luxurious comfort. Three new models will be launched within the next six months: the Gran Turismo 35, 40 and 50.
According to the manufacturer, the new Gran Turismo models offer 30 per cent more exterior space than their predecessors. The interior and exterior design has been completely revised and is now intended to provide more living areas and a closer connection to the water. Beneteau speaks of a "villa feeling" on the water.
The design is based on the Japanese design principles of kanso (simplicity) and yūgen (grace). According to Product Manager Robert Chaffer, this results in a "deceptively simple but powerful silhouette". The lighting design is intended to emphasise the exterior lines and create a sense of calm in the interior.
Beneteau emphasises a sporty driving experience with the new Gran Turismo series. The boats are designed to be comfortable and fast while still offering a good range. The equipment includes solar panels and lithium batteries, which enable quiet operation of the on-board technology at anchor. Charging electric dinghies or inflating inflatable boats and paddleboards should also be possible without any problems.
For more comfort on board, all new models are equipped with a gyro stabilisation system. This reduces the ship's movements and ensures a quieter stay on board.
The Gran Turismo 35 and 40 will be presented to the public for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025. The Gran Turismo 50 will then also be on show at Boot Düsseldorf in early 2026. Beneteau has not yet announced prices.
Beneteau was founded in 1884 and is one of the leading manufacturers of sailing and motor boats. The company offers eight different boat series with over 30 models. The head office is located in France.
