BOOTE 4/26
Dear readers, in the new issue of BOOTE, the multihull special takes centre stage. In addition to tests, there is a report on sparking and an update on Denmark.

Topics in this article

BOOTE test director Ole Puls was on assignment in Trieste in northern Italy for this issue. More precisely, in the charming coastal village of Portopiccolo. Between parasols, holiday accommodation and the typical holiday flair, he tested the new M7 catamaran from the French shipyard Prestige - a loft on the water that handles surprisingly well. This is another reason why catamarans have a growing fan base!

Radio discipline was on the curriculum for our editor Jill Grigoleit this winter. Mayday, Pan-Pan or Sécurité: what is called first and how often? In the course for the SRC and UBI radio certificates, she learnt why even experienced skippers are reluctant to press the talk button, the difference between DSC and ATIS and why a passed certificate is by no means routine.

Denmark is the second home of our editor Morten Strauch. No wonder: what could be more relaxing than breathing in the famous hygge feeling in a small island harbour (see photo)? But it doesn't always have to be pure cosiness: from pioneering large-scale projects to small local solutions, there is a lot going on for water sports enthusiasts. Innovation continues to be a top priority in the kingdom.
