Following on from the Wellcraft 28, the American manufacturer is launching two larger models. The Wellcraft 33 The T-Top and the Wellcraft 33 Speedster each measure 10.34 metres in overall length. They are 3.17 metres wide. Both boats are designed for offshore cruising. The world premiere of the T-Top version will take place at the Cannes Yachting Festival from 8 to 13 September 2026.
The hull and propulsion system of the Wellcraft 33
The hull was designed by Navia Design and features two steps. According to the manufacturer, these so-called ‘twin steps’ are designed to enable rapid planing and ensure stability at high speeds. According to the manufacturer, the boats reach a top speed of over 50 knots. Buyers can choose between various Mercury outboard engines: single or twin V8 or V10 engines with a combined power output of between 350 and 700 PS. The draught with the engines stowed is 0.90 metres. The kerb weight is approximately 3,900 kilograms.
Deck layout and cockpit
The deck runs on a single level around the cabin. At the bow is a cockpit with seating. At the stern, there is a choice of three different cockpit modules. The standard version is called the ‘Lounge’ and features a fixed L-shaped bench seat. This is complemented by a removable table made of composite material. There are storage compartments beneath the benches. The optional ‘Relax’ module transforms the aft area into a sunbathing area. The sun lounger seats three people and has fold-down backrests and armrests. Opposite the sun lounger is a U-shaped seating area with a table. A forward-facing three-seater bench and additional storage space under the sun lounger are also included.
Barracuda module for anglers
The third module is called Barracuda and is only available for the T-Top version. It is designed for anglers. Five rod holders are integrated into the stern. A 150-litre fish box is fitted with a drain pump and a macerator (shredding pump). A live bait tank has a capacity of 120 litres and is supplied by a seawater pump. A washdown pump is included as standard. Instead of the bench seat, there are two rows of pilot seats and a fold-down three-seater bench. A preparation station with a washbasin, tackle drawer and storage space completes the module. Additional rod holders in the bulwark posts and a ‘Rocket Launcher’ (special boat rod holder)) Radial arms attached to the hardtop complete the fishing kit.

The helm and cabin of the Wellcraft 33
The helm is designed with the driver in mind. The dashboard incorporates Garmin screens, an audio system and air vents. The T-Top version offers two windscreen options: Sport or High. The height to the roof is 2.60 metres. A side door makes it easier to board the boat. The anchor can be operated through an opening in the hull. Both models offer space for up to two berths. The upholstery is made from marine-grade material. Protective strips on the sides protect the hull. Wellcraft’s distinctive Z-design is reflected in the exterior styling.
W.I.S.E. technology
Wellcraft relies on its in-house W.I.S.E. technology in its design process. The acronym stands for Wellcraft Infusion Structure Engineering. The process combines infusion and injection moulding techniques. In this process, the stringers (longitudinal stiffeners) and the hull are manufactured as a single piece. According to the manufacturer, this results in a lighter and stiffer structure. The process uses more glass fibre and less resin than conventional methods. This is intended to improve the power-to-weight ratio and reduce the environmental impact of production.
