The Aschenez Group is celebrating the production of its 100th unit of the Capoforte SX200 with a special edition. CEO Rosario Alcaro commissioned the development of the San Marco version, whilst designer Roberto Delfanti reworked the model with a focus on colour schemes and material selection. The inspiration comes from Venice – the city’s architecture and tradition of craftsmanship have shaped the design. The SX200 San Marco will be on display from 1 to 6 October 2026 at the Genoa International Boat Show, Hall B, Stand BD5.
Ruby-red hull and black waterline
The hull is being painted in a ruby-red shade, inspired by the velvet fabrics of Venetian palaces – a shade intended to give the boat a distinctive character. Below the waterline, the hull is painted entirely black, which, according to the shipyard, visually elongates the silhouette and lends the overall appearance greater depth. The metal fittings are finished in bronze, replacing the usual polished stainless steel – a nod to historic Venetian metalwork. The bronze surface reflects light more subtly than stainless steel.
Material concept on deck
The upholstery combines two materials. Skai is used for the backrests – an easy-care, saltwater- and UV-resistant synthetic leather designed for marine use. The seat surfaces, on the other hand, are upholstered in a high-quality fabric that offers greater texture and a more pleasant feel. According to Valentina Procopio, Operational Marketing Manager at the Aschenez Group, the choice of materials follows the principle of omitting the superfluous and instead conveying quality through proportions and the play of light. At the helm, the console is made from Hi-Macs in a black marble finish – a solid-coloured mineral composite that can be fitted seamlessly and is both moisture- and impact-resistant.
Deck layout and interior design
The SX200 base model offers a versatile layout: the bow and stern can be used either as sunbathing areas or seating areas, either separately or joined to form a continuous space. Positioned off-centre, the helm station allows direct access between the bow and stern. There is space on the side for a barbecue unit, whilst several storage compartments round off the features. The SX200 is powered by outboard engines of up to 150 PS (110 kW), enabling the boat to reach speeds in excess of 30 knots, according to the manufacturer. A cruising speed of 20 knots strikes a balance between fuel consumption and comfort.
