AST is relocating its production of carbon tenders to a new production hall. The Potsdam-based company is investing around three million euros in the site, which is due to come into use from mid-2027. The production area will increase to around 4,000 square metres. According to the shipyard, this move is in response to rising demand from abroad. Its existing capacity was no longer sufficient to fulfil all orders.

Automation and Energy Strategy

The new factory will be equipped with more modern manufacturing technology than the previous site. AST is focusing on a higher level of automation in production. This is intended to increase production speed whilst ensuring consistent quality. Photovoltaic systems will be installed on the hall’s roof. According to the manufacturer, the heating system is energy-efficient. Together, these measures are intended to reduce CO₂ emissions and energy consumption.

Location near Berlin and the airport

The new site is just a few minutes’ drive from Berlin. It takes around 20 minutes to drive to Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). According to AST, this transport link makes it easier for international customers and business partners to visit. The shipyard also plans to set up a showroom at the new site. There, prospective customers will be able to view the finished tenders. Its proximity to the airport makes Potsdam an easily accessible location for visitors from abroad.

Search for sales partners

Alongside the expansion of its production capacity, AST is expanding its dealer network. The company is seeking sales partners and brokers in various countries. Anyone interested can contact dealer@ast-yachts.com by email. Thilo Keller from AST explains: “The new production hall gives us the space and technology we need to expand production. At the same time, we remain easily accessible to our customers from abroad.”
